freedom…

i hope everyone had an awesome 4th… i honestly don’t have much to say for this week aside from a little reflection i had while sitting alone in my room, thinking about what it means to be free… not only the freedom we have in this country, but also more importantly, the freedom we have in christ… i keep forgetting the beauty of the freedom i have in jesus… the beauty of how i can run to him when the world has abandoned me… the beauty of how he will always be there with me, leading me through this life… the beauty of when  i am broken… he is there holding me… the beauty of the joy indescribable… the beauty of him… on the cross for me sins… scorned and broken… did it all because of his love for me… for us…

so i pray in the midst of us celebrating our freedom that we have in this country… let us sit and reflect on the freedom is given to us by our savior… the beauty of everything he has done for us…
